Interactive Online Guide Kicks Off with Second Annual Contest Inviting Viewers to Vote for Central Indiana's Best Local Businesses

Indianapolis, June 16, 2008 - WRTV, the ABC Television Network affiliate for Indianapolis, today announced that it is launching the 2008 IndyChannel.com A-List. The A-List is in its second year as the premier destination for local information, featuring descriptions, photos, videos, maps, and real-life customer comments on the top local businesses. The IndyChannel.com A-List provides local businesses with a platform to easily create, manage, and promote their own web content and gives consumers the power to nominate and choose the best businesses as well as post comments, photos, and more.

The 2008 IndyChannel.com A-List kicks off on June 23 with the second annual "Best Of" contest inviting visitors to vote for their favorite local businesses. During the Best of TheIndyChannel.com A-List contest people can logon to www.theindychannel.com to nominate and vote for their favorite businesses and share photos, comments, and more. The contest runs though August 15. Winners will be announced and posted the week of August 25, 2008.

The 2007 Best of the A-List contest was a huge success. The two-month long contest drew 63,000 votes in more than 95 categories such as Day Spa, Cheap Eats, Sushi, Pilates Studio, Wine Bar, Florist, and Live Music Venue.

TheIndyChannel.com A-List offers local businesses a free online presence and easy-to-use tools to manage their listings, saving them time and money and connecting them with online customers. After the contest, the guide is available all year and offers reviews and photos posted by customers, enhancing the value of a local business listing-both for the business and for those searching for detailed local information.
